2021 brought major changes, new progress on clean water, climate and environmental justice.

It is more important than ever to elect U.S. Senators and members of the U.S. House of Representatives who support action to protect the environment, address environmental injustice, and ensure healthy communities for all of us.

The Environmental Justice for All Act (H.R. 2021), introduced by Rep Raul Grijalva and Rep Donald McEachin, is a long overdue package of reforms that will help address the history of environmental injustice that has led to undue burdens of pollution on people of color and low-income communities.

While we commend EPA’s efforts, we are seriously concerned that the agency is not moving quickly enough to address PFAS wastewater discharges from other point source categories that are known or suspected of using these toxic “forever chemicals.”

Protective standards must include no carveouts, and must secure the substantial, science-based pollution reductions needed to help address the climate crisis and to ensure healthy communities.
